 Rare antique American scrimshaw whale ivory stamp with deeply carved name "S.BEST", a drum and drumsticks, bugles, and decorative leaves. Probably made during Civil War. Inlaid with abalone shell (heart and diamonds). Excellent original condition. Size: 2.25 inches tall. This is one of my favorite pieces that I sold 8 yrs. ago and just re-acquired. Sorry, SOLD again.
