A rare and choice antique American scrimshaw marking gauge of unusual design circa 1850. Handmade from a large block of whalebone with tropical wood and hand forged iron. Wonderful deep rich patina showing great use. Excellent original untouched condition. Initialed ADP. Size: 65.5 x 6 inches overall.
