 A rare antique scrimshaw seal made from walrus ivory and carved and engraved with a three-masted ship, a patriotic emblem of gathered American flags with LIBERTY. The seal face is deeply carved with the name JOHN G. JESSEN.(twice) and is bordered with a geometric oval ring. American origin circa 1860. Polychrome details. Very good condition with nice patina. Size: 2.5 inches tall.
