Antique Nantucket Lightship oval basket by highly collectable maker William Appleton circa 1900. Features a beautifully carved swing handle and the original label on bottom. Collectors of Nantucket baskets prize those with original labels and this one is partial but you can clearly see the "Appleton". Great condition. Measures 9-1/4" by 6" oval.
