Antique Nantucket Lightship Basket by William Appleton

Antique Nantucket Lightship sewing basket by highly collectable maker William Appleton circa 1900. Features two beautifully carved handles and the original label on bottom. Collectors of Nantucket baskets prize those with original labels and this one is hard to photograph because of the old adhesive tape but it is written in pencil and says "William Appleton Nantucket Mas." Great condition. Measures 7-1/4" round.
