She sunk in May 29, 1914 in a tragic collision on the St. Lawrence River with over a thousand souls lost. (A great deal of information is available) Signed "W.KITZIG" lower left. Kitzig worked for the Company painting company liners and the ship depicted in the lower left is probably "Empress of Britain". Very good condition on its original stretchers. It could use a cleaning and repair to a small hole upper right. Size: 41 x 27 inches.
