Antique Yellow Painted Nantucket Basket

Antique Nantucket basket with swing handle and yellow paint circa 1850. 19th C. Nantucket baskets with paint are very rare and this one has a great yellow washed color in original condition. Furthermore, this basket features both splint wood and rattan as the weavers. The thinner rattan being used near the bottom bend where it meets the wooden base. Measures 6-3/4" diameter by 5-1/2" high.
