Antique logbook of the Whaling Bark Marcella of New Bedford, Nov, 26, 1844 - Dec. 1845. Descriptive day to day entries with many whale stamps, ship drawings, watercolor drawings of whaling. Includes large watercolor of tombstone memorial to Godfrey C. Russell killed by a whale. Fantastic summary page of whale stamps indicating whales taken. Note: records show entire voyage as being 1844 to 1847 making this logbook just the first part.

Professionally conserved and rebound by Green Dragon Bindery. Some pages have losses and there are various child's drawings & doodles. Measures 13-1/2" by 8-1/2"
