A superbly carved antique scrimshaw cane with a clenched fist and writhing snake. Constucted of whale ivory, whalebone, baleen, tortoise shell, ebony and abalone shell. The snake is engraved with scales. American origin circa 1860. Excellent condition with undistubed natural patina. Size: 34 inches long. This is one of the BEST!.
