James Walter Folger (1851-1918)

Self taught Nantucket artist (1851-1918) versatile in many mediums. Carved wooden animal heads, sea shack and dory dioramas, and Nantucket landmarks. His paintings depicted the Nantucket waterfront and interior domestic scenes.
