Nantucket Lightship Basket by William H. Wyer

Rare Nantucket Round Swing Handled Lightship Basket by William H. Wyer (Nantucket: 1826–1895) circa 1880. Beautifully signed / carved on top of handle. Great condition and patina. Measures 6-7/8" high x 9-3/4" diameter.

Biography: William H. Wyer sailed as a whaleman aboard the Ship HARVEST in 1848 and the Bark JOSEPH MAXWELL in 1859.
