Rare Covered Nantucket Lightship basket by Jose Formoso Reyes
SKU:pmaBB1JFRRare and choice vintage Nantucket Lightship Covered Basket made and signed by José Formoso Reyes (1902-1980) circa early 1950's. The shape and size is rather unique -kind of like a pie basket or maybe a sewing basket. Excellent deep dark patina. Very good condition - the weavings are in perfect condition but the hinges and latch need to be redone. Size: 10.5 inches diameter.
