Rare Nantucket Lightship Basket with CURLY MAPLE

Rare and choice antique Nantucket Lightship Basket with a beautiful CURLY MAPLE bottom circa 1885, The swing handle is attached with wooden ears and the alternating staves are attached to the bottom with small tacks. Double wrapped rim. A Beautiful rich patina. Excellent condition with only one minor weaving break. Size: 10.25 inches diameter.
