Vintage Scrimshaw Baleen Ditty Box

Vintage round scrimshaw ditty box made from thick whale baleen. Pine lid and base, with copper tacks. Interior and top rim has a later application of black paint. Measures 6-1/2" diameter by 4-1/2" tall. American circa 1950.
