Antique Scrimshaw Whalebone Whirligig of a Sailor

Antique scrimshaw whirligig made from whalebone in the form of a sailor with top hat. Wonderful folky details in face. Great original surface suggests it spent some time outdoors. American, circa 1920. Measures 17-1/2" high overall on wooden block stand.
