Vintage Nantucket Basket Purse by Stephen Gibbs (1896-1974). Made on a 7-3/4" by 5-1/2" oval mold circa 1965. A perfect size purse with a dark aged patina. Maker's mark stamped on bottom. Classic carved Sperm whale ornament, knobs, peg, and latch. Excellent condition. Measures 10" wide by 7" deep by 7" high.
