Antique Whalebone Logbook Stamp

A very nice antique whalebone logbook stamp circa 1840. Sperm whale in relief with blank inset for recording barrels of oil rendered, decorative cross hatching and two abalone dots inset. Carved and turned whalebone handle with hole for a cord. One of the best whaling stamps we've offered, a must for the scrimshaw collector. Great condition, measures 2-1/2" by 1" by 3" tall.
