Vintage Scrimshaw Tooth by Robert Spring

A fine quality Sperm whale tooth with scrimshaw ships by Robert Spring (1938-2016). Depicts a US Navy warship and an American whaleship on reverse. Signed R. Spring, circa 1970. 

Robert Spring is considered one of the finest contemporary scrimshaw artist of the late 20th C. Great condition. Measures 4" tall.
